About the Role
 
You'll be joining as an integral part of the mobile development team, responsible for building, testing, and deploying new features for their mobile applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs and SDKs, ensuring seamless functionality across various devices and platforms.
 
We are looking for someone with an Android in their pocket. You will lead efforts in the development of their Android technologies while working closely with the team to ensure a cohesive multi-platform experience across iOS, web, and API integrations.

Key Responsibilities
 
Development:

• Contribute to the full application lifecycle for mobile apps, including concept, development, testing, release, and ongoing maintenance.
• Develop high-quality features for both Android and iOS applications using React Native, as well as native development tools.
• Troubleshoot and optimise application performance to enhance the user experience.
• Design and implement user-friendly interfaces in collaboration with UX/UI teams.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in mobile development.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with React and React Native frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift) development.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and mobile app security best practices.
• Experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Context API, or Zustand.
• Understanding of app store deployment processes (Google Play Store & Apple App Store).
• Experience with offline data storage, synchronisation, and secure data handling.
• Ability to write unit tests and UI tests using Jest, JUnit, Espresso, or Mockito.
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions is a plus.

Collaboration & Teamwork:

• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
• Work closely with the product development team to implement new features and enhancements.
• Stay informed on platform updates and new capabilities.
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to create intuitive user experiences.
• Engage in feedback-driven development, actively contributing to documentation and team knowledge sharing.
