About the Role This is a newly created senior technical leadership role focused on shaping the future of a scaling SaaS platform.
Working closely with the founders and product leadership team, you’ll own architecture, technical strategy, engineering standards, and scalability across a modern TypeScript/Node.js environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll balance strategic thinking with deep technical problem-solving, helping evolve the platform, uplift engineering practices, mentor developers, and drive long-term technical direction as the business scales globally.
What You’ll Own - Engineering strategy and technical direction
- Platform architecture and scalability
- Hands-on technical leadership across TypeScript/Node.js
- Engineering quality, standards, and delivery practices
- Technical roadmap alongside founders and product leadership
- Mentoring and growing the engineering team
- Modernisation of systems, tooling, and infrastructure
Skills & Experience - Senior engineering leadership experience within SaaS or tech businesses
- Strong hands-on architecture experience in TypeScript/Node.js environments
- Experience scaling platforms and improving engineering maturity
- Ability to balance technical quality with commercial priorities
- Proven leadership and mentoring capability
- Strong communication across technical and non-technical teams
- Familiarity with modern cloud infrastructure and scalable systems
