The company already has paying customers and is experiencing strong market demand across Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role
As the Founding Account Executive (APAC), you'll be responsible for building Sterling's sales presence from the ground up. This isn't a role where you'll inherit a mature playbook or an existing territory; you'll generate your own pipeline, run discovery calls and demos, build relationships with senior finance stakeholders, and work directly with the founding team on positioning and go-to-market strategy.

You'll also feed customer insight back into the product roadmap, and travel to meet customers and prospects across the region.

Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience selling software into mid-market or enterprise organisations
  • Experience working closely with finance, operations or back-office teams
  • Comfortable generating your own opportunities without a defined playbook or SDR support
  • Strong at building trust and credibility with senior stakeholders (CFOs, Financial Controllers, Heads of Finance)
  • Confident running a full sales process end-to-end, from first conversation through to close
  • Curious, commercially minded, and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Genuine interest in AI and its impact on the future of work
