  • Lead strategic UX discovery on high-impact product initiatives.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including a four-day week and WFH options
  • Join a collaborative product team building a market-leading SaaS platform.
About the Company
Our client is an award-winning SaaS business with a loyal global customer base and a reputation for building thoughtful, user-centred digital products. Their collaborative culture empowers people to challenge ideas, solve meaningful problems and have a genuine impact on product direction.

About the Role
This isn't your typical delivery-focused UX role. You'll spend your time defining problems before they're solved. Working closely with Product, Design and senior leadership, you'll turn ambiguous opportunities into clear product direction through customer research, discovery workshops, journey mapping, testing and early concepts. You'll move comfortably between customers, executives and developers, helping the team build the right things - not just build things right. The role also offers flexibility, including the option of a four-day week.

Skills & Experience
  • Extensive experience in UX research and discovery within a SaaS or digital product environment.
  • Strong background in customer interviews, usability testing, journey mapping, personas and quantitative research.
  • Confident translating ambiguous business problems into actionable product opportunities.
  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes and validating concepts through user research.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Consultancy, agency or government UX experience will be highly regarded.
  • Proficiency with Figma and modern UX research methodologies.
Why Work Here?
  • Flexible working arrangements, including work from home options.
  • Four-day week or reduced hours considered.
  • High-impact strategic role with significant influence on product direction.
  • Work alongside a collaborative and highly capable product team.
  • Opportunity to explore emerging technologies, including AI-enabled product experiences.
  • Modern central Wellington office with a supportive, trusting culture.
If you're passionate about understanding customers, thrive in ambiguity, and love shaping products from the earliest stages, we'd love to hear from you.
