Our client is an established organisation operating in the financial services sector, where technology plays a critical role in delivering reliable, secure services. With a strong engineering capability and a focus on continuous improvement, they’re evolving how their technology teams operate and creating an environment built around collaboration, ownership and enablement

About the Role
Lead a team of approximately six responsible for the shared foundations that enable the wider engineering organisation. You’ll evolve Engineering Operations toward developer enablement, shared platforms, tooling, standards and guardrails, while retaining oversight of infrastructure, operational reliability and security. This is a people and technology leadership role with significant opportunity to shape the function alongside the CTO.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven people leadership of technical teams and specialists
  • Background across Cloud, DevOps, Platform, Infrastructure or related disciplines
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary technology functions
  • Strong prioritisation skills across competing technical and business demands
  • Experience leading teams through organisational or operating-model change
  • Technical credibility across CI/CD, developer experience, cloud/infrastructure and operational reliability
  • Exposure to security, governance or regulated environments; ISO 27001 experience is advantageous
