  • Own a key product area within an established NZ fintech
  • Work closely with engineering, design and operations

About the company
Our client is an established New Zealand fintech providing technology and services to the financial services industry.

They're going through an exciting period of change, investing in modernising their platform, improving customer experiences and building smarter, more automated products.

The role
This isn't a Product Manager role where you're simply managing a backlog and passing requirements to engineering.

They're looking for someone who can take genuine ownership of a product area, understand the problems customers are facing and work closely with engineering and design to deliver solutions that make a difference.

You'll initially be working across an investment product area, with opportunities to get involved in other parts of the platform as the business continues to evolve.

What you'll be doing
  • Owning your product roadmap, backlog and priorities
  • Working with engineering and design to turn problems into practical solutions
  • Engaging with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs
  • Making product decisions that balance customer, technical and commercial priorities
  • Identifying opportunities to automate processes and reduce manual work
  • Supporting product delivery, client onboarding and ongoing improvements
  • Measuring the impact of what your team delivers
About you
You'll have experience in Product Management, ideally within a software or technology business, and be comfortable taking ownership from discovery through to delivery.

You'll bring strong commercial judgement, an ability to prioritise competing demands and the confidence to challenge ideas when needed.

Experience in financial services, fintech or investment platforms would be a real advantage. Knowledge of KiwiSaver, managed funds or wealth management would be particularly interesting, although it's not essential.

Most importantly, you'll be proactive, comfortable working closely with technical teams and someone who enjoys solving complex problems rather than just managing a roadmap.

There's plenty of interesting work ahead, with the opportunity to bring fresh thinking into an evolving product function and help shape the next stage of the platform.
