  • Build and ship scalable SaaS features using C#, SQL, Azure, and modern web tech
  • Lead technical decisions and mentor engineers in a collaborative team
  • Join a Wellington-founded company with a global product and real ownership
We’re working with a Wellington-founded SaaS company building a global product used by teams delivering meaningful work in the real world.

This is a role for a senior engineer who enjoys taking responsibility for what they build, from early design decisions through to seeing features running in production. You’ll join a collaborative product engineering group where quality matters, decisions are practical, and engineers are trusted to take ownership.

You’ll be hands-on across backend development, system design, and feature delivery, with room to influence architecture, mentor others, and help shape how the platform continues to scale.

What you’ll be doing
  • Designing and building high-quality software solutions that support a growing SaaS platform
  • Leading technical discussions around architecture, scalability, security, and maintainability
  • Working closely with product and engineering teams to ship new features and improvements
  • Writing clean, reliable code and contributing to strong engineering standards through reviews and collaboration
  • Supporting and mentoring other developers, sharing context and raising the bar across the team
  • Troubleshooting, debugging, and improving performance across services and workflows
  • Contributing to release processes to ensure smooth deployments across environments
  • Producing clear technical documentation that helps others move quickly and confidently
What we’re looking for
  • 5+ years of commercial experience in software development, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment
  • Strong experience with C#, Entity Framework, SQL, and MVC
  • Solid grounding in modern web fundamentals: JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and exposure to frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue
  • Experience working with Azure and an understanding of cloud-based SaaS architecture
  • Strong grasp of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and scalable system thinking
  • A collaborative mindset, clear communication, and confidence mentoring others
  • Curiosity for new tools and approaches, balanced with good engineering judgement
Why this is worth a look
  • A global SaaS product with real momentum and meaningful customers
  • Senior-level ownership and influence on how systems evolve
  • A team that values thoughtful engineering over unnecessary process
  • Plenty of scope to mentor, lead, and build software you’re proud of
