About the Role:

As the Head of Operations, you will lead the design, installation, and performance of EV charging stations nationwide. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll oversee key strategic initiatives while maintaining a hands-on approach to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. With a focus on operational excellence, you’ll manage critical relationships with suppliers, contractors, and industry partners to ensure the reliability and performance of the network. This role is pivotal in achieving the company’s vision of a fully sustainable and accessible EV infrastructure across New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Operations Team, fostering a high-performance, values-driven culture.
• Develop and execute strategic operations plans that align with company goals.
• Oversee site selection, hardware evaluation, and installations of EV chargers.
• Manage network operations, ensuring high reliability, minimal downtime, and user satisfaction.
• Drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Take ownership of the company’s health and safety strategy, ensuring a safe workplace and compliance with regulations.
• Build and strengthen supplier and contractor relationships, negotiating contracts and service agreements.
• Monitor operational performance and provide regular updates to senior leadership and the board.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven leadership experience in infrastructure operations, ideally in the energy sector.
• Strong understanding of EV charging technology, infrastructure, and maintenance.
• Success in leading health and safety initiatives and fostering a safety-first culture.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, improve cost-efficiency, and meet performance targets.
• A collaborative leader with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to transition seamlessly to hands-on execution.
• Commitment to ongoing learning and staying ahead of industry trends.
