We're working with a high-growth startup, on the hunt for a Senior Software Engineer to join their Quality & Platform team. This is a key role that blends infrastructure, tooling, automation, and reliability - perfect for someone who wants to scale systems that enable developers to ship fast, safe, and smart.

This is a Senior Software Engineer position (Senior I or II level).

The core mission? Building internal tools, test automation, and scalable infrastructure to support product growth - with a laser focus on reliability, speed, and developer experience. This is a high-impact engineering role where delivery, craft, collaboration, and team values are all critical.

About the team

This team exists to make the wider engineering org faster, more reliable, and ready to scale.

It’s a small but mighty group: currently 3 Quality Engineers and 1 Platform Engineer. The team is evolving from an ad-hoc support model into a true service-oriented delivery function, in step with the company’s growing customer base across enterprise and industrial segments.

Their purpose is to enable other product teams to move faster by owning the CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and internal platforms that underpin development - ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance as adoption increases.

Key responsibilities

• Design & Documentation - Create clear, accessible documentation for both internal knowledge sharing and broader engineering consumption.
• Development - Build and maintain testing frameworks, pipelines, and infrastructure to support reliable software delivery.
• Platform Operations - Keep non-production environments healthy, accessible, and ready for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement - Seek out new tools and methods to improve performance, reliability, and developer experience.
• Cross-Team Collaboration - Partner with product teams to ensure the internal platform is responsive to evolving needs.
• Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing - Help level up the team through guidance and knowledge transfer.
• Problem Solving & Communication - Own challenges and communicate effectively, particularly in async and written formats.

About you

You’re a senior engineer who enjoys ownership, solves problems end-to-end, and loves helping the wider team succeed.

You bring a high bar for quality and take accountability for your work. You enjoy mentoring others, digging into complex systems, and balancing big-picture thinking with pragmatic execution.

Technically, you're flexible - switching easily between scripting and OO languages. Experience with TypeScript and Golang is a bonus, but adaptability is what matters. You’re confident with CI/CD, source control, infrastructure tooling like Kubernetes and Ansible, and you care about building systems that scale.

Given the remote-first culture, strong written and async communication is essential. You’ll thrive in an environment that values autonomy, async decision-making, and a distributed team dynamic.
