About the Role
This is a senior, hands-on role for a Go engineer who can come in and own backend initiatives. You’ll be responsible for designing, building, and improving APIs and core backend systems, with a strong focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
  
You’ll work closely with product and engineering peers to take loosely defined problems and turn them into production-ready solutions. This role goes beyond delivery; you’ll have real influence over technical direction, system design, and how the platform evolves as it scales.
  
Skills & Experience

• Extensive backend engineering experience, operating at a senior level
• Strong, production-grade experience with Golang
• Deep understanding of concurrency, performance, and memory considerations in Go
• Experience building and scaling APIs under high load
• Hands-on experience with AWS and relational data stores (MySQL)
• Experience with ElasticSearch or similar search / data platforms
• Comfortable owning systems end-to-end, from design through to production support
• Strong testing, debugging, and code quality practices
• Able to work autonomously while contributing to a small, high-performing team
