You’ll work closely with developers and platform engineers to make sure data is reliable, performant, and structured in a way that supports both product features and reporting needs.
What you’ll be doing - Optimising SQL databases running under real production load
- Designing and maintaining data transformation processes
- Supporting structured storage solutions and data lake environments
- Building and maintaining stored procedures and database objects
- Working with Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Event Hubs, Azure Functions, and Power BI
- Maintaining cloud environments across Azure and AWS
- Contributing to testing, release, and production support
- Documenting what you build and improving how data is handled across the system
You’ll own pieces of work end to end and be trusted to manage your time and technical decisions.
What they’re looking for - 5+ years of commercial experience in data-focused development or DBA roles
- Strong SQL skills, including performance tuning and optimisation
- Experience with modern database technologies and ORM/MicroORM tooling
- Exposure to Azure or AWS cloud environments
- Experience working with high-throughput or large-volume datasets
- Solid understanding of testing practices and development standards
- Comfortable collaborating with product and engineering teams
