Kindo is entering an exciting new phase of growth following a recent $15M Series A. Already trusted by schools and families across New Zealand, Kindo has strong product-market fit, a meaningful mission, and a major opportunity ahead.
As Chief Product Officer, you’ll lead product strategy, scale the Product and Design function, and help evolve an already-loved platform into an even more essential tool for schools and families. This is a rare opportunity to step into a true executive product role where your decisions will shape strategy, team design, delivery quality, and long-term growth.
Why this role stands out: - Executive-level ownership of Kindo’s product strategy and direction
- Lead the move from a single-squad model to a multi-squad product organisation
- Join at a genuine inflection point after significant funding
- Build products with visible, everyday impact for families, students, and schools
- Partner directly with the CEO and Board
- ESOP on offer
What you’ll be doing: - Define and lead Kindo’s product strategy in partnership with the CEO and Board
- Lead and grow the Product and Design function
- Scale ways of working, team structure, and operating rhythm as the company grows
- Drive roadmap execution with clear prioritisation and deliberate trade-offs
- Identify and validate new product opportunities and revenue streams
- Work closely with customers, school administrators, internal teams, and partners
- Maintain high standards for product quality, customer value, and execution
- Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and leadership peers
What we’re looking for: - Senior product leadership experience in SaaS, fintech/payments, marketplace, or complex platform environments
- Experience scaling product teams in growth-stage or early-stage businesses
- Track record leading across multiple squads and improving delivery performance
- Strong commercial judgment and strategic thinking
- Experience growing and coaching Product and Design leaders
- Ability to balance speed, quality, customer value, and business priorities
- AI enabled product practice
- Bonus points for experience in education, family-facing products, payments, or marketplace models
